I am so sorry, Amy at Farm Fresh Foods is baking the Retro Lamb cake and a multitude of other items. I attributed the cake to Two Daughters Bakery. Both of these vendors are producing some wonderful foods for us this week. I think I saw a Strawberry Gallate on the market…..

JNA Farm market is open for ordering.

Hello Springtime! Have you noticed all the blossoms? The fruit trees are putting on a show and so is the forsythia. The bees are all over the place, getting fat and happy with the abundance of pollen. Gotta love Spring.
Vegetables are trickling in this week, we have kale, turnips with roots, salad greens available on the extra table and maybe a few more surprises.

Two Daughters Bakery is busy baking this week and has an adorable lamb shaped cake that will be the centerpiece of any spring celebration. If you have not tasted her decadent desserts, you should.

Four Mile Farm has Lamb shoulder steaks, ground lamb and a leg of lamb available this week and Joyful Noise Acres Farm has a few hams available.

Has anyone noticed more cream on the milk? Spring grasses are nourishing the cows and the milk is benefitting. Tell your pets to drink up! We are so grateful to Cedar Rock Dairy for providing this to us. If you are ever down towards Butler, GA, look Sam up and tour the farm. He loves to show off his cows and his cows are always showing off.

Thank you for supporting locally grown foods and farmers.

Blessings,
Mary Beth

Ground lamb meatballs with a large Greek salad and warm Naan bread, slow cooked ribs rubbed with Herbies BBQ seasoning blend served with garlic/cheese mashed potatoes and stuffed eggs,
Roasted chichen leg quarters, kale salad and sweet potato fries are a few menu ideas for the week. Eating fresh on the farm is fun.

If you would like a syrup order form, please send me an e-mail and I will send you one. Orders need to be in by the end of the month.

Don’t forget to get your market orders in before tonight. We will look forward to seeing you on Wedensday.

The JNA Farm Market is open for ordering.

Happy Spring morning to you. The Forsythia is blooming, the peach trees are blooming and there is a lightness in the air as we shake off the quiet of winter.
Joyful Noise Acres Farm is fully stocked with pork sausage and ground pork again. We also have some beautiful racks of ribs for the grill.
Four Mile Farm and Cedar Rock Dairy have plenty of beef and lamb available along with lots of bones. There are several packages of beef shanks in the freezer for those wanting to make a rich broth. We should have some knuckle bones also being delivered this week, which adds extra collagen to your broth.
JNA Farm has baby kale available that makes the best kale salad, dressed with Olea Estates Organic Olive Oil, oh my.
Stop by the farm and see what’s growing.

Maple Syrup and Olive Oil

Don’t forget to place your orders before 8:00 tonight.

*Joyful Noise Acres Farm, Four Mile Farm and White Gates Farm *are taking orders for whole hams and Leg of Lamb for the holidays. Send an e-mail to Marybeth@pasturedmeats.com to reserve yours. Please indicate the size you would like and we will do our best to have it for you.

One of our market customers has purchased 3L tins of Olea Estates Organic Olive Oil. This oil comes from Greece, is a single pressing oil and is delicious. With all the evidence surrounding Olive Oil being cut with other oils, it is difficult to find pure oil. Cindy has done her research on this matter. If you are interested in a tin, her email is gloryspill@gmail.com. I will have the oil here on Wednesday for those of you that would like to taste it. When you order a tin directly from her, you can pick it up here. The cost is $72 per tin.

*Maple Syrup *Time: It is time to order the syrup. We are looking for mid April delivery. I am listing it on the market for your convenience but prefer you complete the order form and snail mail it back with your check. Email me for a copy of the form.

Thanks and have a great day!

The online market is open for ordering.

The March winds have been blowing in this morning and prayerfully blowing away anymore cold weather. Everyone is busy as usual getting great foods and products ready for you so take a few minutes and browse the market. You may find something new and exciting.

Simply OH! has a sugar scrub that is sure to please your winter skin. Now is the time to start exfoliating and moisturizing that beautiful skin that has been hiding under layers of clothes. It does not take long to love on ourselves a little and the results are so worth it! My toezies got a sugar scrub last night and I think it helped me sleep better. It was so relaxing.

As we approach Passover and Resurrection Day celebrations, make sure you order your hams and lamb. If you don’t see it on the market, ask for it. It can usually be found.

We did get a fresh order of cheese in this week so don’t forget to add a pound to your cart. This is the best price on organic cheese and I am so thankful to Meadow Valley Farm for providing it.

Our fermented beverages class will be help April 7th. Go to the event section to sign up. This will be another great opportunity to learn easy, economical ways to improve your health.

The robins have been scouring the yard for bugs and worms, the peach tree has a few open blossoms, the daffodils have struggled to open their frozen blooms and I am preparing the beds to receive the seeds of spring vegetables. Ahh, spring, can hardly stand waiting. What plans are you making for warmer days?

The market is open for ordering and there is plenty of good stuff to order from. We have gotten lamb and beef bones in the freezer. Think about the greens in your yard that can be chopped and put into a light winter soup full of nourishing minerals and vitamins.

The baked goods selection has something for everyone, chocolate, gluten free, decadent, healthy – ohh my waistline!

Don’t forget to look at the Personal care items for your soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. Once you start using pure items on your hair and skin, you will not want to go back to commercial. These items are organic with no harsh chemicals.

Get your orders in and see you Wednesday.
