The JNA Farm market is open for ordering.

Good morning,
The market is open for ordering until Monday at 8:00pm. Again, we have so many wonderful food items to choose from. These next few weeks are busy for many of you getting ready for children to go back to school but don’t let healthy meals drop off, baked parmesan zucchini sticks, oven roasted potatoes, crock pot chicken are all easy, filling and nutritious.
Jackie’s Friendly Baking makes Cranberry Walnut Millet bars that will fill empty tummies and keep them full for a while. Add a glass of milk and nut butter and you are good until lunch. Take advantage of all the wonderful vegetables and do a chopped salad, divide it into jars and store in the refrigerator for on the go meals. Dressing is easy with Home Appetit Olive oil, balsamic vinegar and toasted Spice blends.

If you are purchasing milk, please remember to clean your jars very well and make sure they are dry before they get to the farm. If they have condensation in them, they are not dry, will harbor mold and will get returned. Our milkman is a stickler for cleanliness!

Thank you for supporting locally grown. We look forward to seeing you Wednesday.

Blessings,
Mary Beth

Market reminder.

Remember the market closes at 8:00 tonight. I have my fork primed to dig into the Butter Pecan Cake from Two Daughters Bakery, we just added raw, unpastuerized almonds from Queen on the Valley in California. Not locally grown but clean, raw and good for us. The vegetable list is abundant.
The butter is here and more cheese is coming this week.

Have a great week and we will see you Wedensday.
Blessings,
Mary Beth

The market is open for ordering.

Good morning,

I hope you have plans for a fun filled, rest filled, and joy filled weekend. We have had a great week and the fridge is full. So are the freezers. Our cheese order came in and I am already to place another one as this one has sold so fast. The butter is also in. No need to order, just pick up when you come out. It is salted with a mineral salt and is wonderful. We scrambled eggs in it this morning and they were so good.
Four Mile Farm has stocked us with ground beef, bones and T-Bone steaks. Joyful Noise Acres Farm has whole chickens, leg quarters and boneless breast and back bones for broth making.
Conscious Cultures has added a new flavor, Mango Kefir. It is so refreshing. Not to mention the health benefits of drinking kefir. If you have any questions about how to consume probiotic drinks or how to brew your own, just ask Justin.
Please take the time to look over the market. you will find something new, something familiar and comforting, and all of it good for you!
Blessings,
Mary Beth Sellars

Reminder to get your orders in before the market closes at 8 this evening. The vegetables choices are wonderful and the baked items are tempting! If you have a special occasion coming up, please take a look at Two Daughters bakery. Her cakes are not only lovely to look at but delicious. She will do other specialty cakes not listed on the market.

JNA Farm Market is open for ordering.

The market is open for ordering and we have so many wonderful things to choose from.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the farmers if you are looking for something in particular or need bulk for canning or freezing. They may have extra. Amestoy Farms left extra vegetables this week which was a blessing for those of us that forgot to order certain items.
We are ordering cheese next week so go to the Group Buy on the market and place your order. This way you get what you want and in the quantity you want. This is raw milk cheese from an organic dairy. These are the best prices I have seen for raw milk cheese and it is delicious. We will order monthly, more if we need to. I like to order the larger quantity and freeze it. I grate it and freeze it on a cookie sheet then put it in a bag. Just take it out by the handful and use it as needed. Place your order and you will pay for it when you pick it up.
I have been looking for butter and found a dairy that produces organic butter. They have 4 cows so the quantity will be limited. These are grass fed cows with the exception of getting a small amount of grain during the hardest part of winter. The butter is salted with Natural Salt, containing all the minerals. The butter is $5/lb before shipping. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing and I will give her an idea of the amount we want and then we can get shipping info.
Blessings to all and thank you for shopping local and supporting your local farmers.

The JNA Farm Market is open for ordering.

Happy 4th of July! I am enjoying the quiet of the house at this early hour, with a glass of iced coffee, the back door open to allow the coolness of the morning in and a to do list rapidly growing before we take the afternoon off to spend by the pool. I am so grateful to reflect on our history and prayerful for the future of the nation. Please don’t take for granted that which others sacrificed so that we could live in freedom. How blessed we are.

I first met Jordan and his Dad, Jim, of Stickman Coffee, at the farmer’s market where they sold iced coffee. It was so good but something I never made. This morning, I took leftover coffee and made iced coffee, YUM! Fill your glass with ice, pour half full with cool coffee then fill to the top with milk. Sweeten and enjoy. (I added a splash of pure vanilla extract also.)

The chicken run has been completed and Joyful Noise Acres Farm is stocked with cuts. We have drumsticks, thighs, bone in and boneless breast, liver, feet, and backs for making broth.

With bug activity increased, my favorite soap for summer is Good Shepherd Herbals, Lemongrass soap. Lemongrass is a natural repellant, not to mention, it just smells good. The goats milk soap are so soothing to the skin and milk enough to use on a baby.

Cedar Rock Dairy continues to bless us with the best milk around. Acres of organic grass, non GMO feed and lots of love from the dairyman produces beautiful cream lines on the milk. If you order glass jars from the dairy to be filled, be aware that he does not always have them available so you may end up in plastic jugs until he gets more in stock. Don’t forget to return your jars.

We are so thankful for Conscious Cultures and the wonderful keifer and kombucha they provide. If you are not drinking your 2 oz. daily, remember to burp the jar to release the carbonation. You are welcomed to recycle the jars back to CC when it is empty.

Well, off to the market with you and off to the kitchen with me to rub down some ribs.

Blessings,
Mary Beth
